Coach Christian Pope is our head coach and has been coaching Crossfit for 6 years.  Christian is strong not only in physical strength but coaching too.  He is very knowledgable in Olympic lifting and technique.  His certifications include Crossfit L1 and L2, Olympic Weightlifting, and Power Monkey certified.  At the beginning of class Coach Christian gets down to business explaining the details of the workout and lifts.  He makes sure everyone is comfortable with the workout before getting started.  Everyone enjoys his simple and effective approach to coaching.  He will no doubt help you master that lift!  Here is a little more about Coach Christian Pope.

  • What keeps you busy outside the gym?  “I love finding new food spots.  I also help out my brother with his landscaping business.”
  • What is your favorite lift?  Snatch
  • What inspired you to become a Crossfit coach?  “I always love helping people and saw how Crossfit makes a positive difference in people’s lives.”
  • What has been your best coaching experiences so far?  “I can’t chose one specific time.  My goal is to try and make a difference in someone’s life.  Whether it be correcting improper form or just asking how someones day is going.”
  • Share with us an important cue or tip.  “When snatching flick your wrist and punch the ceiling when getting underneath the bar.”
  • Do you have any success stories?  “I helped my brother prepare for a strongman competition that he placed 1st in.  He did the work, but I was there to support and coach him through it.”
